Honda Motorcycles

 The Honda Motorcycle is one of the largest motorcycle manufactures throughout the world. Honda started manufacturing motorcycles in the 1940s. Its main reason for entering the motorcycle industry is they wanted to provide inexpensive transportation during the war. In the beginning they were using old engines from army vehicles.

They began making a name for themselves internationally with the release of their CB models.

In the 1950s Honda released its Super Club motorcycle called the C100. This motorcycle was used as an easy going type of motorcycle. It was their best selling motorcycle of its time.

In the mid 1960s Honda began making more powerful engines and motorcycles.

This was their entrance into becoming a top worldwide competitor in the motorcycle industry.

At the end of the 1960s Honda released a four cylinder motorcycle called the CB450. This very basic motorcycle which was mass produced dominated the market at that time. It has a very easy handling system which made it more appealing to the motorcycle enthusiast.

Honda began manufacturing street bikes in the late seventies to early eightees. The designs were innovative and modern.

Honda later started production in the specialed racing arena. These bikes were superbikes and tended to be very expensive.
