When buying a used motorcycle it is wise to follow
First, never assume that a bike is it great mechanical condition because the body is in pristine condition. However, a good rule of thumb is to look over the condition of the external parts, such as dents, rusted chrome, scratches or paint chipping. More than likely if these are in poor condition, the owner probably did not take great care of their bike.

Be sure to check the tires for inflation and thread. Are the rims rusty or appear dented or damaged? Are the mirrors intact? Are there any cracks in the engine cases? If there is you should not even consider purchasing this motorcycle.
If you have any knowledge about motorcycles you should check to see if you see any missing fasteners and pins. Do you see any signs of fluid leaking?
These are just a few things when you first arrive at the location to inspect a used motorcycle. Please read our other articles for more in depth guides.
